Ante “Tony” Banic D.C. grew up in Seward, AK, the first of his family born in the United States. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seattle University, going on to work for Swedish Hospital. As a microbiologist, Tony Banic developed a true understanding of the power of preventative health and knew that becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic would allow him to impact more lives. He graduated Palmer College of Chiropractic alongside his wife, Leslie Banic D.C., and they started Banic Chiropractic Clinic, in Issaquah, in 2003. As the Banic family grew and spread roots in the Issaquah community, Banic Chiropractic became a thriving practice, ultimately selling to Chiro One in 2021. Now Dr. Banic is enjoying spending time with his family, volunteering for Eastside Search and Rescue, and is available to provide exemplary relief coverage for you and your patients.

I have been going to Banic Chiropractic for several years now. IMHO this is the best chiropractic clinic in Issaquah! They have treated me well since the first day I walked in – whether it has been a week or months since the last time I was in. They take good care of me and make great recommendations for care outside of the office ie exercises, icing practices, etc. I took my husband in because of some issues and Dr Banic did a wonderful job of making a non-chiropractor person into someone who believes they can help fix issues. As a 27 year Garbageman I have had my share of spine injuries, I discovered Banic Chiropractic about 14 years ago after being rear ended on my way to work. My regular Chiropractor had just retired and I staggered into their office hoping to get some relief. I got much more than I expected. My entire Family uses and trusts Banic Chiropractic for our spinal care. I can not recommend the traction therapy ENOUGH! If you have a straight neck like I did (no natural curve) you know the constant pain of the vertebrae between your shoulders popping out of alignment…I was told there was nothing that can be done about it for years. Dr. Banic Suggested Traction therapy…many years later and I Have had little to no issues with that particular vertebrae… Most of my injuries are a result improper lifting or twisting while lifting. Dr. Banic has always been able to put me back together in short order when I wreck myself. Thanks Tony, you’re the best! MW
Dr Banic is easy to work with and doesn’t push extra if you don’t need it. Been going to him for years as I need not on some contract like others. I have sciatica and he has taken care of it to the point that I only go once a month and its helped me to continue to do my job.

This thank you is long overdue, therefore let’s call it a two year review. I have a long-term spine / medical condition that medical professionals describe as severe and encourage surgeries ranging from the most invasive and extensive. As a long-term Info Tech office worker, I sat through many long days (usually averaging 12+ hours @ day) over many years before learning the destructive effects of long-term sitting at our ‘computer work-stations’. And after this latest auto accident (July 2019 – again their fault – distracted drivers!), I again have been searching for effective and healthy non-surgical alternatives ever since. Over the years I have seen many doctors. But now, with the auto accident increasing my pain levels and disabling my abilities, I thought no sane doctor would touch my back and was expecting a rejection to help determine my next steps.  So two years ago, I walked into the Banic Chiropractic Clinic and met Dr Jacob Friedman (and later Dr Ante Banic). Previously I had checked into and liked their vitals: education, credentials, reviews, ratings. My condition was assessed and x-rayed. Treatment options were discussed and started. Treatments that gradually, and steadily, reduced my pain, weight, and disfunction levels, bringing much desired relief, and opening new options that has profoundly changed my life in many constructive ways that are beyond my ability to describe here. I saw (and continue to see) Dr. J and Dr. B for two years: . the first few months at 3xs a week, . then the past one and a-half years at 2xs a week, . and now at once a week – as I have moved away during this time and it has become a 1 hour drive [one way]. I appreciate the direction, supervision, and exploration of non-surgical solutions such as: Spine manipulation, Bio-Mechanical Traction Therapy, diet, hormones, stretches, exercises, massage, etc. I am thankful for their friendly staff, quick service, professionalism, knowledge, experience, patience, listening ability, humor, compassion, and quest for answers and solutions. And I continue to thank God every day for Dr Ante Banic and Dr Jacob Friedman.

Wonderful chiropractor, educated & professional
I went here for nearly 6 months to treat my lower back pain. My spine lacked the normal curve shape and from the back it looked like a hockey stick. Dr Banic came up with a treatment plan for me, and although it was long, we kept at it and through x-rays he showed me the treatment was working. Every week I was actually looking forward to going to my treatments because the staff is so friendly and I always enjoyed my conversations with them. I highly recommended Banic Chiropractic and would recommended them to anyone.
I went to Dr. Tony for the 1st time two weeks ago. Wow, A+ all around. Super friendly staff, very clean and beautiful offices. Most importantly, Dr. is the most talented chiropractor I have ever visited. I really enjoyed my visit and wait to go back.

I feel like I matter when I come here. Every business has to make money, but as far as the Chiropratic care goes, I feel it’s reasonable. I do want a buy more visits at once discount if insurance doesn’t cover it option, but since payment plans are offered, I think the staff truly cares about assising their clients.
Wonderful and knowledgeable staff! I LOVE that they help your body heal itself, instead of just masking or exasperating pain. I’ve only gone for three weeks to Dr. Banic and I am now free of pain most of the time. I was in a serious accident when I was sixteen and pain has been my constant companion for over 35 years. Dr. Banic was able to explain my back issues and give a realistic prognosis for what relief he could provide. He has had some good advice for me about things I can do at home as well as the work he does for me at my appointments. Dr. Banic was a referral from another fantastic Chiropractor, Dr. Collins. The visits are flexible, often able to get me in on little or no notice at all. I’ve rarely waited longer than a few minutes for an adjustment, and the pricing is in line with any other service I’ve ever used. I only receive adjustments, but it appears they are fully loaded with great equipment for a variety of rehabilitation services(massage, traction, etc.). I have dealt with low back injuries for years and an adjustment 1-2 times a week keeps me active and able to pick up my kids after a tough workout! UPDATE – my review was two years old so I thought id update it. Still 5 stars, doing traction now. Really great staff. Super consistent and helpful.
Partial scoliosis was corrected in 6 months through “EAT-M” = Exercises (similar to Physical Therapy), Adjustments (by the Chiropractor), and Traction (holding your body in a corrective position for 10-20 minutes – think of a rubber band being stretched so it does not snap back to its old form), along with deep tissue Massage therapy – all are important. The owners are a husband wife team who are involved in the community through service organizations, they are funny and positive people.
Banic Chiropractic and Massage is so much more than a doctor’s office. After the first visit, everyone knew my name and showed their focus on my wellness and health. I came to Banic for weight loss but also worked with Dr. Banic for other issues. He provided a very detailed review of my condition and offered a specific wellness plan. After several attempts to find a good chiropractor in the Seattle/Bellevue area I was referred to Dr. Banic. From the moment I walked in the office I knew I was going to have a great experience. After being a car accident my back was in a lot of pain especially in the lower area, Dr. Banic immediately did an evaluation and walked me through the process of rehabilitation to get my back squared away. When I walk into the office I am always greeted by name and I automatically feel very comfortable and very welcomed. The location has been ideal for me and the office is very modern with amazing views of Issaquah. What I love about his office is that it incorporates not only adjustments and massages but it has a series of traction exercises. Before coming to Dr. Banics office I had no idea what traction exercises was, now I am a HUGE fan. I have been doing the traction exercises for a few weeks and I can feel a huge improvement in the pain and mobility in my back. I love Banic Chiropractic! I first came due to a living social voucher for a massage, thinking it was going to be a one time thing. The living social voucher included a exam and x-rays and I’m truly glad I took them. It turns out that my neck is curving the wrong way :( which was contributing to my upper back and neck discomfort. I’ve been coming back for adjustments and traction ever since! They are very personable and they take the time to get to know their patients. The second time I was there they knew me by name! They are also very informative so you understand what they are doing to your spine/neck and why. Banic Chiropractic has a warm group of people on staff and each of them strive to make the experience a pleasant one. The facility is also very clean, which is a must for me :)

Dr. Tony Banic is the best chiropractor I’ve ever had, and I’ve seen 6+ since I had an accident 15 years ago. I think the main difference is the traction he incorporates into the manual adjustments. After 6 months of adjustments and traction, the chronic pain in my lower back and sacrum disappeared. I was amazed. I could mountain bike again without pain in my back. I had struggled with this off and on for 15 years! I now see Dr. Banic every few months for small corrections, along with my 8 year old son, who actively plays sports.

I have always had some sort of back issue for the last 9 years and I had tried every avenue. After a very detailed evaluation at Banic chiropractic clinic, I was put on a great plan to correct the structural problems that had been the root of all my back issues over the last few years. I brought my 16 year old son into Banic Chiropractic because his neck jetted forward and to the left and his shoulders were rounded forward also. Dr. Banic took x-rays and my sons neck was far from the normal range. After only 18 visits his neck is dramatically improved not only can you tell by the x-rays but you can look at him and see the obvious difference. He is no longer hunched over and his neck is in alignment. He feels a lot better now too! Thank you Dr. Banic and Staff!
I have been having to chiropractic care for over 6 years after an auto accident. After two years of treatment in San Diego with very little progress I moved to Washington and found Banic Chiropractic! The difference in my healing was incredible! Within 9 months I had made more improvement in my neck than in the previous two years of treatment with my other doctor! Great staff! Clean, caring and not pushy! They combined massage therapy with my treatment and it helped so much when was going through the harder parts of treatment! Gotta go here if you have any kind of skeletal pain! I don’t have to take Advil every day anymore!

Working with Tony & Leslie has helped me immensely in my recovery from my auto accident. I had a significant reverse curve in my neck and I was very limited in movement turning side to side. Turning side to side to switch lanes in traffic was incredibly difficult. After going through treatment for nine months I now have full range of motion and my reverse curve is completely gone. I had back surgery in 2000. In 2008 my back went out and I was reconciled to having surgery again. I was referred to Dr. Banic and he did wonders for me with his treatment and exercise regimen my back has never felt better. I have no limitations on my range of motion or residual pain or sores. I came in mainly for preventative care and since working with Dr. Banic I haven’t had much back problems. I recommend Dr. Banic to anyone who wants to care for their back. I only wish I had seen Dr. Banic in 2000 as I may have avoided my surgery.

When I first started traction I had experienced two episodes of extreme pain in my right shoulder radiating down to my elbow. In order to work, I sat at my desk with ice packs on my neck and shoulder. I haven’t had any of that pain since starting treatment. Headaches were a common event in my life and sleeping on my left side assured me awaking up with headache. I couldn’t sleep at night without changing positions several times to relieve pain in my shoulders, lower back and hips. My hands would go number and wake me up – I would have to shake them to get the feeling back. In recent weeks, I’ve even awakened some mornings in the same position I fell asleep and I don’t lose feelings in my hands anymore. I was most amazed at the results of my recent x-rays. I have renewed hope that I can live out my life with good posture, restful nights’ sleep and renewed enthusiasm for tackling whatever. I am more aware of the effects certain activities have on my spine and I take time to remind myself to sit correctly at my desk, stretch regularly, ice when needed and continue my exercises – to counteract the negative forces of working at a desk for several hours a day.
